If there are still two or more players remaining after all rounds have been completed, those players go to face off. In a showdown, each player reveals two hole cards and tries to make the best possible 5 card using a combination of two cards and five community cards. The player with the best hand wins!

  • Full House – This is when you have 3 cards of one rank and another.

Players can also check (remain in the game without betting), but cannot do this in the first betting round (Preflop).

What are the key hands in Texas Hold’em?

There are certain hands that are stronger than others in Texas Hold’em. Here are some of the most important ones.

A royal flush is 10, j, q, k, all suits. This is the most powerful hand in poker and is an automatic win.

A straight flush is five consecutive cards all in one suit. This is a very strong hand and can often beat other types of hands.

4 cards of 4 types are 4 cards of the same rank. These hands are also very strong and cannot be taken off easily.

A full house is 3 cards of one rank and 2 cards of another rank. This hand can be quite powerful, but not quite as strong as some of the other hands listed above.
